This 90 min event, lead by Britta Eumann, will start with about 45 minutes of Restorative Yoga practice, to gently but effectively allow the body and mind to relax. The practice will lead into the second part of Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation most often practiced reclined in a comfortable position, to promote even deeper relaxation.
Each of the monthly events will have a theme woven into practice:
June’s theme is summer solstice, the longest day of the year and celebration: Finding balance celebrating this wonderful time of summer, light, and activity, and staying grounded and finding moments of relaxation and stillness in our daily life.
This is an event for everybody, no prior knowledge of yoga necessary to enjoy the benefits.
The restorative yoga practice uses support like bolsters, blankets, etc. yoga poses are modified to the individual student, this allows for longer holds without strain, which promotes gentle yet deep opening and relaxation. Breathwork and meditation are an integral part.
Props like bolsters, blankets etc are provided, but feel free to bring your own for maximum comfort.
Please register online, registration closes 1 hour before the start of the event.
